Spotlight: Often leads; has had plenty of racing for his tender years but he's tough and reliable and his first 5f run of the year saw him achieve strong form in winning with something to spare from Mgheera in a Group 2 at the Curragh (good; acts well on firm) in July; still has potential over 5f.
Spotlight: High-class sprinting juvenile whose sole defeat in five starts came over 6f in June; put the record straight with another improved show to win a 5f Group 3 at Goodwood under a penalty since; that wasn't the strongest of races, her main victims having marks in the 90s, but this easy track looks sure to suit her style and with the serious weight concession from her elders she has obvious claims; has been supplemented.
Spotlight: Has left her 2yo form way behind over 6f this year, belying big odds when travelling strongly but not giving an inch when fourth of 21 in the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup (good to firm) at Royal Ascot; seized on a good opportunity in a Group 3 here since and is proving progressive; the return to 5f, after just one run at the trip as a 2yo, is an unknown but she probably has the pace to cope.
Spotlight: Thoroughly honest 5yo who has risen to new heights over 5f this year with his win in the Dash at Epsom (good; acts on good to firm) topped by a Group 2 win at Goodwood last time out, albeit with the race going like clockwork for him; has more to do in this company, including with Washington Heights on Listed form over C&D in July, but he won't fail for the want of trying.
Spotlight: Continued to nail it on the AW when making it 4-4 with a Listed win last November; has yet to hack it on turf but he was clear of his group on the wrong side in Jm Jungle's Group 2 at Goodwood recently and this track can suit, too; may yet have a big turf race in him.
Spotlight: Superb Australian mare who smashed it when winning the Group 1 King Charles III at Royal Ascot in 2024 but she'd gone off the boil by the time she got to this race, albeit still a creditable fourth of 12; didn't have the ideal preparation this year, though, and it's shown, with lesser efforts at Royal Ascot and Goodwood, and it's hard to know whether she can hit the old heights again.
Spotlight: Has given trouble at the start and refused to enter the stalls at Royal Ascot but she's smart on her day, as when coming through strongly to win a Group 2 at Haydock (5f, good) in May; outpointed by Arizona Blaze in a Group 2 at the Curragh in July, though, and another slow start could cost her on this track.
Spotlight: She doesn't hang around and can lead but she found the stiff 5f at Sandown (good to firm) against her when run down late on by Rumstar in July; ridden much more patiently in Group 2 at Goodwood since, setting to work with a will but failing by a neck to overhaul Jm Jungle; this track can see her to good advantage and she can go well; blinkers return in place of cheekpieces.
Spotlight: Back from a break when down the field in this race last year; has had relatively few chances at 5f and thoroughly proved her mettle at the trip when a close, persevering second of 20 in the Group 1 King Charles III at Royal Ascot in June; failed to repeat it at Goodwood since but she has it in her to go well.
Spotlight: Has led; failed to see out 6f at Newmarket in July but she confirmed this is her trip when racing away with a 5f conditions race at Goodwood (good) 23 days ago; could turn out a fair bit better than that form but needs to be in this company; has been supplemented.
Spotlight: Can look good over 5f, as when winning either side of a winter break and, more recently, when outstaying She's Quality in a Group 3 at Sandown (good to firm) in July; however, he's had some wobbles too and his fifth to Arizona Blaze in a Group 2 at the Curragh last time was one of them; quite capable of a good show on his best form and has been supplemented.
Spotlight: Yet to have an off day on this track, poorly drawn when sixth of 12 in this race last year, and after slogging away in many of the best sprints he seized on a drop in class when winning a Listed race over C&D (good to firm) in July; unlikely to be far away but vulnerable for win purposes.
Spotlight: Best 2yo form when making the running for Group 2 win (6f, good to firm) at this meeting last year; has been running over 6f this year, giving best to Sayidah Dariyan back here in July before losing out narrowly in a Chester Listed race; has more to prove back at 5f; yard also runs Mgheera.
Spotlight: Good spell in 2024 included Group 2 win at Haydock and a close fifth of ten at Goodwood (both 5f; soft and good to firm); retained all his ability when first home among the low numbers in the Group 1 King Charles III at Royal Ascot but he hasn't risen to the occasion in his other races this year (in cheekpieces latest, now discarded) and is on the verge of becoming frustrating.
Spotlight: Won two 5f Listed races and a Group 3 (AW) in 2022; missed two years subsequently and well back in two Group races this summer; his fourth of ten at the Shergar Cup at Ascot (5f, good to firm) 13 days ago was more like it but this looks too big a task.
Spotlight: Speedy and has improved this year, finishing a close second to Jm Jungle (who received 3lb) in the Dash at Epsom in June before winning a Listed race at Chantilly (also 5f, good); failed to repeat those efforts behind Jm Jungle at Goodwood since but a revival isn't out of the question.
Spotlight: Best 2yo form when winning a 5f Listed race at Royal Ascot but he's been hard to place in Group races this year and the return to Listed grade didn't yield a reward at Chester 19 days ago; cheekpieces are now fitted.

Two-year-olds need a good look in this race with their big weight allowance, even though only two have been involved in the finish in the last ten years and just two have won since the 1950s. The pure speed test can suit Lady Iman and she makes some appeal but a first 5f run of the year for ARIZONA BLAZE (nap) went rather well when he beat Mgheera in good style at the Curragh (Rumstar fifth) and he has the potential to do better yet at the trip. She's Quality is all speed but tactics don't seem to affect her much, so she's also considered after a slightly luckless defeat by Jm Jungle at Goodwood. Others of interest include tentative second choice Sayidah Dariyan, on the upgrade over 6f, Frost At Dawn, for whom a case can be made on her Royal Ascot run, and Night Raider, who could yet transfer his AW form to turf. Asfoora has not been her old self in two British runs this year and it remains to be seen whether she can recapture her glory days.[Emily Weber] Show less
